On Wednesday, Ford announced the California Special’s return with revamped packaging to celebrate the option’s 1968 debut. Additionally, a new Stealth Edition package provides blackout options. The California Special isn’t a new name, but Ford will offer it with the GT Performance Package to mix things up. Now, in addition to the unique CS design elements, buyers can opt for more performance — including the sportier suspension, Brembo brakes, a limited-slip

    $12.7 million in counterfeit Cialis pills, Louis Vuitton bags, and Chanel sunglasses seized at Southern California ports area

    More than 47,000 counterfeit Cialis pills and 10,117 fake pieces of designer clothing and footwear – with an estimated value of $12.7 million-plus – were seized at the Los Angeles-Long Beach ports area, officials announced Monday, June 21. The clothing items bore Christian Dior, Versace, Gucci, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Nike Air and Swoosh designs and was part of a shipment from China, said Jaime Ruiz, a spokesman for U.S Customs and Border Protection. The haul included handbags, shoes and sunglasses. The merchandise’s estimated value is based on suggested retail prices by the manufacturers, Ruiz said. Border Protection officers and

    California gender bill would ban boys, girls’ sections at major department stores

    The California state legislature is considering a bill that would ban larger department stores from having separate “boys” and “girls” sections for toys and clothing. Assembly Bill No. 1084 was introduced on Feb. 18 and remains in committee, where state lawmakers are weighing whether to allow separate sections for children’s clothing sections based on gender, but keep the gender neutral requirement for toys, the Los Angeles Times reported. The bill, as it was first co-written by Assemblymembers Evan Low and Christina Garcia, would “require a retail department store with 500 or more employees that sells child care items, children’s clothing
