    A seated vanity for guests to pamper themselves was also a key component of Samuel’s bathroom design. She purchased two IKEA Godmorgon pieces and combined them into one longer piece by placing a counter on top. Samuel designed the bathroom knowing that she planned to incorporate her own SSS Quarterline fronts for Semihandmade, and she utilized these to help disguise the original piece. “I used Semihandmade side panels on each side of the individual vanities and brought them all the way to the floor, which instantly makes them less recognizable as an IKEA vanity,” Samuel says.     Gardening pro James Wong reveals stunning DIY indoor water feature made from an Ikea table

The gardening expert revealed a circular table filled with water which trickles down mossy rocks and plants to create a stunning indoor display. To create the feature, James chose an affordable coffee table from IKEA and cleverly used the shallow basin-style table top as the base for his water fountain. The raised edges allow the water to be contained, while the powder-coated steel construction ensures the water won’t leak or

    Each piece of furniture tells a story. Furniture design, or rather discovering + collecting unique furniture designs has become a dedicated hobby of mine! Coming from a small home, where floor space was always at a premium, the furniture I have been subjected to has always been foldable and multifunctional (which maybe explains my obsession for modular designs!) but I will not forget the feeling of sitting in a well-designed armchair and its ottoman for the first time after a long working day. A collab between IKEA Sweden and IKEA Japan, the Efterträda Collection will be launching exclusively at the newly opened IKEA store in Harajuku, Japan.
