Watermelon Bag Allows You to Effortlessly Carry the Cumbersome Fruit

Watermelon Bag Tsuchiya Kaban

As far as fruits go, watermelon is arguably one of the best. But it has one flaw—it’s heavy and awkward to carry. That’s why Japanese craftsman Yusuke Kadoi (for Tsuchiya Kaban) has created a luxury leather bag specifically for carrying one.

Holding exactly one, round watermelon, the elegant carrier was crafted by Kadoi as part of a project, titled The Fun of Carrying. The initiative encouraged in-house Tsuchiya Kaban designers to create their own playful items as side projects. A fan of the summer fruit, Kadoi decided to create the handcrafted Watermelon Bag as a solution to carrying the cumbersome, bowling ball-like fruit.

Kadoi achieved the bag’s perfectly rounded shape by sewing together individual leather panels. It even expands at the top, allowing the user to place the watermelon inside the bag before clipping together the snaps and securing the snug watermelon in place. Along with the sturdy main compartment, a strong handle with metal buckles allows users to carry their watermelon with ease. You’ll be the envy of your summer picnics with this stylish (and practical) accessory!
